Club members compete in several disciplines:
Road racing within albRosa is actively encouraged and with an experienced mens, womens and youth team it has never been easier to get involved. We organise a number of races over the year with plenty of other local road races, criteriums and town centre races on offer. Our women are consistently outperforming other local teams and our men are regularly near the top of the Regional BC rankings.
If you are looking for a fun and competitive bunch of riders albaRosa racing is the place for you. We encourage development for all abilities and run a range of training rides throughout the year.
TT has been a part of albaRosa from the start, with many of our riders taking part in open and club TTs, including the excellent Cyclesense League, as well as late season Hill Climbs. We also run corsaRosa, a TT league for standard road bikes only, involving more than 10 local clubs and backed by generous sponsorship from Woodrup Cycles and Spokesman Cycle Clothing.
All are welcome, from first timers and youth riders wanting to see what it is all about to seasoned riders who want to test themselves against our current record holders. If you want to get involved, then join our Facebook group, where you'll find details of events, as well as advice on kit and training techniques.
Cyclocross has been one of the fastest growing disciplines within cycling over the last few years. It is an extremely friendly community which mixes the serious competitive racers and the non-competitive alike. The Yorkshire Cyclocross Association (YCCA) promotes both a Sunday Winter series of events (think wet and muddy) and a popular Wednesday evening Summer series (dry and less technical).
We have an established but growing number of male, female and junior members and in 2016 organised two races at Middleton Park in Leeds. If you want to find out more about the wonderful world of cyclocross join the ARCX facebook group and get stuck in.
